31 Day Blog Challenge – Failed

I didn’t make it. I got distracted and some of the cues were just too difficult for me to approach. I didn’t even feel like attempting to try a fictitious answer because I’ve been feeling too on the edge. But here is the closest I can come to some answers.

20
Where do I want to be in 10 years

Somewhere in the UK, preferably Up North, Hadrian’s Wall area, in a town or village (not city).
Or one of the bigger towns in the Outer Hebrides, like Benbecula.
Or somewhere quiet near Seattle, like Port Angeles.
Or Vancouver Island, B.C.

31 Day Blog Challenge – Day 16 – Dream job

Editor for any media organization, especially main stream news. They need me. Seriously, have you read the news or the captions on TV news recently? The journalists may still know how to do their jobs but what they write is torn up by crack addled minkies. The adjectival forms of countries and nations are being murdered to extinction in the English language. I’ve seen too many headlines about “Italy ship arrives today”, and “Russia politician investigated”.

31 Day Blog Challenge – Day 13 – Favorite quote

“I have come home at last! This is my real country! I belong here. This is the land I have been looking for all my life, though I never knew it till now. The reason why we loved the old Narnia is that it sometimes looked a little like this. Bree-hee-hee! Come further up, come further in!” – The Last Battle

Because it reminds me of my favorite part of the bible.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.” And the one who was seated on the throne said, “See, I am making all things new.” – Revelation to St. John

31 Day Blog Challenge – Day 10 – First celebrity crush

Davy Jones of the Monkees. My older sisters were of the target age for the Monkees marketing empire but I tagged along with the fun.
But my first real crush was Tony DeFranco – the Canadian Donny Osmond. When all the other 12-year-old white girls were swooning over Donny, I was ever so unique and fell in love with Tony. Tiger Beat wrote compare and contrast stories and I always knew that my underdog was the real winner. I embroidered a pillow for him with the band logo and got a thank letter in return; I think I read it a thousand times.

31 Day Blog Challenge – Day 9 – Piercings and tattoos?

[Oops. I missed a day. No good excuse this time.]

I have a pair of kitty cat footprints on my ribs. My Caesare would climb under covers every night and curl up by my side. He would purr and knead along my side until he fell asleep. Believe me when I tell you that Squishy Foots on your side ribs is exquisitely, painfully ticklish. But we knew he had a shortened life expectancy, so I indulged the little monster. After he was gone, I missed the nightly cuddle sesh so much that I got his footprints tattooed in just the spot.

31 Day Blog Challenge – Day 8 – Old Photo of Me

Children's zoo

This is me at the San Diego Zoo Children’s Zoo petting zoo. It seems like a pretty basic photo but it says a great deal to me. There are no other children around and that’s the normal case. The air in our house was toxic to visitors and I was never taught to socialize properly. Most of the time it was just me and Mom, sometimes also my aunt. I was afraid of everything, always and that’s where I’ve returned.
